Accommodation in Barcelona

The workshop venue in in the 22@ area of Barcelona – so called because it is an ‘innovation district’.  The neighbouring area (which is very nice) is called Poblenou and there are several hotels there.  Below is a link to a list through which you can check availability and book:

A very comfortable and reasonable hotel which is extremely close to the workshop venue is the Hotel Ibis Plaza Glòries 22. You can book your room online here:

However another large conference will be taking place at the same time and this may be booked up. Some provisional bookings have also been made at the following two hotels which are both very close to the workshop venue

There is also some very reasonably priced student accommodation in Barceloneta.

Participants should book through the link below. They must click on “Online Booking” and fill in COSTACTIONBCN1 as discount code.

Participants could book rooms between November 8th and 12th. The prices are as following:

  • Single: 78 € per night
  • Twin: 88 € per night
  • Twin room, double use: 98 € per night

The price includes breakfast, daily room cleaning, changing daily towels.

If all else fails, a hotel in the centre of town will still be OK because the nearest metro station to the workshop venue is Glories on the red Metro line (Line 1) which links to Plaza Catalunya – the most central place in Barcelona.

We very strongly advise booking your accommodation as soon as possible.  If you have any difficulties with your booking at either of these, please contact Eric Mesalles Aresté at (emesalles@uoc.edu).
